I did this little peanut’s photos a little while ago, and her mom ordered an absolutely beautiful album. It is always so excited to see these digital images come to life in print, and in a very special heirloom album that she will be able to keep and treasure forever.
I photographed this little newborn baby in the early spring, and I just couldn’t get over how much she looked like her big sister! When I was editing the photos of the two of them with their faces together I kept thinking of them as two little peas in a pod. It will be so neat to see them grow together!
One of the many benefits of being a newborn photographer is getting to meet new additions to the family right away! I was very lucky to meet my newest little relative during our awful cold snap this year and she must have been happy about it too because she cooperated very well.
This little sweetie was a part of our Baby’s First Year program and you follow our Instagram or Facebook page you’ve probably seen her grow throughout the year. It was very fun for me to document these changes over the year, and now to look at them all together to see how much she has changed through the months.
I have had so much fun documenting some of our little Baby’s First Year clients during 2018, and for the 2019 year I have continued on with the program but made some new and exciting updates. You can read all about the new and improved program here: Baby’s First Year . Now families can have a full newborn session, and then attend our Year of the Minis program (at the special Year of the Minis Price!) to capture their baby through the year and during those seasons when parents always look for those classic photos (you know – baby surrounded by fall leaves, baby’s first Christmas or winter, baby in that golden summer sun, baby with those beautiful spring blossoms). There is an option to add a maternity session as well. Families will then receive a complimentary high quality album that includes the photos from throughout the year. So that baby album that everyone struggles to finish is already done for you! If you are thinking about this program and have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Day two of our mini sessions this year was the baking theme. We were particularly excited about this one – it was very different from any theme we have ever done before and resulted in such timeless and classic photos. It doesn’t hurt that we had so many cute kids in the photos!
The first day of our Christmas Mini Sessions this year started out with a Christmas Jammie theme. We had a lot of fun listening to some Christmas music and doing our photos and all the little ones were happy to leave with a cookie. It was a bit of an easier experience than our cold outdoor Christmas minis last year! It was a very simple theme which allowed for fun colourful jammies and some families even brought a few favourite Christmas items along.
This was another great fall session. I finally invested in studio lights this year and I am already so glad. This was a great example. We did these photos in October. And this year in October we did have some nice days for photos (see my post An Engagement and a Puppy), but we also had some pretty cold and dreary days, and they day we did these photos was one of them. I was very glad especially with a three year old that I had the option of indoor portraits. And I was able to do the little flower girl theme which is always a favourite.
